Information

The Albert Malero Scholarship for Youngsters in the Visual Arts

The Albert Malero Scholarship for Youngsters in the Visual Arts was established in loving memory of Albert Malero (June 10, 1955 – June 24, 1982). Albert’s family supports this Scholarship as the legacy of a gentle young man who served as a loving brother, son, and friend to many. Albert, known for his tremendous faith in God and in the good will of others, served as a devoted Big Brother to many fatherless children, and as a Captain in the US Air Force. As a young boy, he sent a letter to President John F. Kennedy, who was so moved as to send him a personal reply. Albert worked as a passionately creative soul, excelling as a self-taught draftsman and painter despite having found no opportunities for formal art studies.

The Padre Venard Scholarship

The Padre Venard Scholarship honors the Franciscan Capuchin monk who supported, sponsored and employed many young and striving artists in Old San Juan, Puerto Rico, including the Director of the AAHP. The Delwin Velez Toro Scholarship

The Gilda Dominguez Art Materials Grant
