Summer Highlights 2023
“Art is the proper task of life.”
Friedrich Nietzsche
A towering German philosopher, prose poet, cultural critic, philologist, composer and, at times, a troubled and blinded visionary.
Learning together in the studio necessarily spills over into the rest of everyday life. That’s how it must be.
Summer 2023 has brought amazing encounters with our huge family of amazing students—new, continuing, and returning!
Enjoy these highlights as we celebrate those students advancing through the studio, or graduating from our program to enter higher institutions of learning, or receiving their degrees, or getting married, or growing older and staying healthy through soulful living and ongoing creative practice.
Come build community and creative life with us! We’ve been waiting for you!

Divine
It was a great honor to see Aarohi bring the house down with her classical Indian dance at her 2023 Arangetram.
Teacher to Teacher

Olga gifts Ana sunflowers
Olga, a computer engineer in college, will study abroad this year. She chose Florence, cradle of all that we teach here in the studio, so that she can continue to follow her artistic pursuits!
A Family of Giants in So Many Ways
From L to R: Dad Spencer, son Janu, Mom Marisha (center) and son Jai, visiting Ana in the studio before the boys set out for college. Janu is a rising freshman and Jai is a rising Junior, both in IT, while also pursuing the natural sciences and the arts. Congrats, guys! You are awesome! Come visit us again in the studio sooner than later!
