AAHP GENERAL DIRECTIVES
Directives for Week of Monday, March 16, 2020
Hello. This is Ana and Aaron reaching you from the AAHP studio, a house built for, and by, creatives, here in Highland Park, NJ, USA. This is Ana and Aaron reaching you as a cherished member of our family of creatives.
As of Monday, March 16, we are closed voluntarily by day, and under state curfew orders by night.
Last Friday, March 13, 2020, we voluntarily closed our doors to all students, junior staff, and guests. We also asked several members of the Senior Staff to remain home. We remain closed for all regular operations as currently posted on all our channels. We will again report to you about any pending closure.
CANCELLATIONS OF ALL IN-PERSON ACTIVITIES
For this reason, we have cancelled studio and field practice and other non-ordinary events, as follows:
–March 21: American Museum of Natural History Field Trip for adult/teen practitioners.
–March 23: off-site managerial training workshops for senior staff.
–March 27: Spring Open House for current, new and prospective P3ers
–March 28 AAHP staff attendance to funerals and memorials scheduled prior to the 3.13.20
Federal declaration of a national emergency.
–and all other posted AAHP activities
HEALTH STATUS REPORTS FROM THE AAHP
At this moment, here at the AAHP, we have no known cases, or proximity to known, or possible cases, of coronavirus COVID-19. No one among our staff, students, or guests is known to be affected or infected by the virus. On the other hand, information is scant and imperfect.
While vowing to protect individual privacy, we will remain transparent and inform you of any changes to our situation. This is the responsible thing to do. This is the right thing to do.
Here in the studio, we are following guidelines from the Center for Disease Control (CDC), and remain attuned to, and compliant with, government directives from the state, the county of Middlesex, and the borough of Highland Park.
COMMUNICATING WITH US AS A COMMUNITY OF CREATIVES
Please be sure to connect with us through Text Magic for community-wide messaging in real time. To join the vast majority of our clients now onboard, and to sign up securely and for free, please click here.
The heavy weapons we have at hand, including knowledge, soap and water, social distancing, curfews and lockdowns, also include our technological means for rapid communication and broadcast of information. Let’s use it. You can continue reaching Aaron and Ana at all times through texting, email, voice mail and live phone calls.
COMMUNICATING PRIVATELY WITH US
Aaron and I both vow to protect your privacy. For contacting Ana confidentially, reach her at aahpconfidential@gmail.com to report any concerns. This email has always been posted on our website and will remain so.
MOVING FORWARD FAST
We have been working to transform our studio and field ops into an online community for now, and, for the rest of the life of the studio, even after we re-open as a physical studio. Indeed, we are reaching to you now to help us build our community online. No idea or solution you might offer will be disregarded. If you have word for us, please send it with the email title “ONLINE IDEA.”
Finally, here is our call to please work with us by relying on reason, information, caution, and responsiveness, rather than reactivity. Health is wealth. We are calm, cooperating, and complying.
Please step forth and help the AAHP, as a house built for, and by, creatives, remain a leader in creative action. Please remain connected, and allow the force—meaning, the unstoppable force that is creative action—to remain flowing through you.
Sincerely,
Ana E. Soto-CanIno
